Our pet hotel is small enough to allow us to spend time with each and every pet yet large enough to offer spacious areas for both restful activities and active play. As the owner and director of TLC Pet Boarding, I’m eager to me tell you more about it!
The Kennels: Each Kennel is comprised of two parts, an indoor kennel “nook” and an outdoor kennel “run”. Each of these is securely fenced and is private to single pets or to a pet “family”—those that come in together from a single home. Your pet(s) have full access to both spaces for the majority of their stay. They have plenty of room to stretch, walk, roll, scratch, and sniff as they please.
Size: Kennel nooks are 4 feet by 4 feet by 6 feet tall, are floored in concrete, and roofed in welded large-gauge steal. All food and bedding stay warm and dry inside the nook. This space is enough to fit two medium/large-sized dogs—mid sized labs are a good example of this size.
The outdoor kennel run is 4 feet by 8 feet by 6 feet tall and is accessible to the dogs all day. It is floored in gravel, but under the gravel and roofing, the run is protected by welded-heavy gauge steel.
Coziness: The two parts of the kennel are connected by hatch doors that are secured in an open position during the day. These hatch doors stay open so that no pet is ever intimidated by the obstacle of a new pet door with too big of a flap. Each pet can come and go as needed.
Between each kennel is a privacy screen that allows for calm sniffing and “doggie communication” with neighbors, but the screen prevents anyone from feeling intimidated. Pets feel safe and secure in their own clean, private space.
Home Business: TLC Pet Boarding is my happy place and is located just steps away from my home. Even when I go home for mealtimes and rest, I have a baby monitor located in the kennel area so that I can keep an eye on your pet. The driveway leading up to TLC Pet Boarding is always plowed and passable. I hope you’ll come for a visit and allow us to become friends with you and your pets!
